Printing your jackets. A (Sort of) Tutorial.

First thing's first. This is probably a method only those in the US can do, but this is a method that's been tried and has succeeded.

Go to: http://derpy.me/6QXb- This page will take you to office depots file upload page for banners.

Once you reach this page, start uploading the files of the dustjackets you want to print. I suggest doing all 5 at once and going and reading your books while you wait. It will probably take awhile due to how large the files are.

After your documents are uploaded and you continue, there will be a message that pops up asking if you have permission. It is just a formality, don't worry. Just press Yes and continue.

Now, here comes the fun part. You're going to click the blue "modify document" button. These inputs will be the same for any dust jacket you choose to use.

Format: Color - single sided
Paper: Glossy Elite 80lbs
Leave everything else at none.

Next you're going to want to go to modify output size.

On each one you're going to want to put in the dimensions

Book 1: 9.25in X 20.53in
Book 2: 9.25in X 20.59in
Book 3: 9.25in X 20.64in
Book 4: 9.25in X 20.94in
Book 5: 9.25in X 20.89in

Just curious which jackets you're giving the dimensions for here RP. If they use anything but what you're basing these numbers off of, the length could be really off. The liner notes have no set size from design to design from what I've seen, so keep that in mind.

Ah this is for the alternate official book jackets. I'll try and make sure everyone puts their sizes for their jackets for anyone else.

I assume those are the same links as the other thread, but just so you know, they're broken here.

In the forms for the Office Depot printing, you have to set your size first or it will clear all formatting, but more importantly, that paper is never an option using that png for volume 1, even before you set the size. After setting a custom size, you have 26lb bond, Glossy (no weight mentioned) and scrim vinyl as the only options.

Unless I managed to mess something up in the forms for this, I don't see a way to order that paper.

So, I've run into a bit of a problem with this. Office Depot's print center said that each of the files has an inch of white space on each side. They sent me the resized documents, which are each 9" x 21", which is slightly too long, and way too short.
I dunno what to do, and I'm not taking them to Staples after resizing them myself and playing like $110 bucks to get them printed there >.>

I just had a couple of things printed there today. They are not borderless as you saw. I didn't need anything special done for my job today, but I'm wondering if you can't get them to trim the white off. They should have a big paper cutter that could do it there. I don't see why they couldn't trim them, but the question is more whether they will.

My 8x10 was printed on what appeared to be 8.5x11 paper, so if you can get them to print it on whatever size is just above on both dimensions and cut it down to the borders, they would still be cheaper, even if they charged some to cut it.

I believe those measure properly, but I can't say for sure whether I looked at them or not. I've seen so many recently the only ones I am sure I checked to be right was volume 1 of RPpirate's in the post above the one I linked to.
