Hey everyone,
It's been a while since we posted an update; we've been working to nail down a few things that have been up in the air causing delays and wanted to make sure we had all our ducks in a row first. Thank you for your patience throughout this process.

On to the updates!
To be blunt, the 4th edition printing of Fallout: Equestria will not be wrapped up this month. The actual pages have been printed for a bit, and and right now they are at the bindery basically waiting for the covers to be put on.

So, what happened?
There was a miscommunication with the bindery's capabilities compared to what we were quoted that took about 2-3 weeks to reach a resolution. Then earlier this week we were informed that the cover material for the books was backordered. Which is incredibly disappointing because it's not like they didn't know our books needed the material.

The cover material was scheduled to reach port within a few days, so we're mostly waiting for that to clear customs, make its way to the bindery, then for the bindery to start working on our books. We have been given a completion date of July 15th, to which I promptly responded with an angry email calling that into question. So I am hoping we can get that date bumped up and have the books finished up in June, but we will not know for sure until we get closer.

What's next?
A little bit before the books are finished we'll send out an email to everyone confirming everyone's shipping address. After that the books will be shipped to us, and we can work to get them packed and shipped to all of you. A few weeks later we will begin processing the reserve list depending on how many extra books are left over. More details about that will be posted when we get there.

Wait, I missed signups! Wat do?
We usually have some extra books left over at the end of the printing. If you would like an opportunity to purchase one of the extra books, please sign up on the reserve list: https://goo.gl/GZw21f

Other than that, if you have any questions about the project, feel free to send us an email at FoEPrintProject@gmail.com. I have been a little slow to respond to emails thanks to some personal stuff that's been going on, but I will respond even if it takes me a bit. We also can be reached on our Discord server, which is probably the best way to get a hold of us for quick questions: https://discord.gg/EFkYw8Z

If you're curious about some of the specific details behind the delays and the 'behind the scenes' look at the project, I made a few posts that go in-depth on our patreon page.

Cheers,
zemming

Hey everyone,
Good news! One of our most frequent questions besides "PH When" is "how can I help support the project?" Well today we have an answer!

It's my great pleasure to announce our official selling-out, and launch of the print project's Patreon!
•Why Patreon?
Patreon has a solid foundation and allows us to post regular updates, and 'work-in-progress' plans, without the same level of formality we strive for on the website.

•What's the benefit?
As a patron you get access to inside info! We're usually somewhat general about the details we post here. Using Patreon gives us a platform where we can go more in-depth without worrying about being overly wordy or too confusing. For example, instead of just saying we're 'in production', we can speak a bit more to the process on both our end and from a manufacturing standpoint.
We're also proud to announce a patreon-only role and private Project Supporter chat on our discord server!

•That's it?
For our higher Patreon tiers, we've also decided to go into more detail concerning our future plans. Yes this includes details about "PH when". This print project is dynamic and plans often change, so we usually don't speculate on future plans until all our ducks are in a row. But with Patreon we now have a separate platform to go into that level of depth, without introducing further confusion to the main public timeline.

•Are you serious?
When am I not serious?

Without further ado: https://www.patreon.com/zemming

Every little bit helps. And I promise to not spend any money on avocado toast.

Hey everyone,
It's been a little bit since our last update about the 4th printing of Fallout: Equestria. Everything's been moving forward, there's just not a lot of exciting news at this step in the process.

Right now we are still on track for an estimated completion date in May. Soft proofs with the manufacture have been approved earlier this month, and we're working on nailing down the last few details.
At this point in the process we're good to move forward, it's mostly just a matter of waiting for our production slot. So while everything's set on our end, there's a ton of other books that our manufacture needs to print first before getting to us. The whole print industry has been experiencing production backups since last year for a variety of reasons; working around these factors outside our control is part of playing in the 'big leagues'. Our original estimates did take this into account, but if anything changes as we move forward, we'll let you know.

Wait, I missed signups! Wat do?

P.S. A quick MN7 Update:
The reserve list is now closed. We may send out one last batch of invoices for the reserve list, but we do not currently have a timeline or estimate on when that may be. There are still some people from the main list we need to take care of first.

This update is for Murky Number Seven, the story of the depressed green horse.
Updates about Fallout: Equestria, the story of the grey lesbian horse, all start with the header "FoE 4th Print".
For information about all active printings that are happening right now, please see the FAQ. At the top is a quick status summarizing the timeline for each printing.

Hey everyone,
It's my great pleasure to announce that Murky Number Seven has finished production and will ship out soon!

Right now we're looking having them out the door mid next week; we'll make a quick edit to this post once they're all shipped. For US orders, you will automatically receive an email with your tracking number. Every other country, we'll send out an email through Mailchimp a bit later with your tracking number and specific instructions.

Edit: All books have been shipped off as of Wednesday January 30th. If you're in the US and don't see an email with your tracking number, check your spam folder.
Edit Feb 3rd 2200 GMT-0400: International tracking numbers have been emailed out. If you don't see yours, double check your spam folder. Please read the included instructions, they're important.

What about the reserve list?
The reserve list is still open if you would like an opportunity to purchase one of the extra books. Sign up here: https://goo.gl/87Wnja

As of February 2nd 1930 GMT-0500 invoices have been sent to everyone who signed up on the reserve list so far. Invoices are due in a little over 1 week. If you decide not to buy one of the reserve copies of MN7, please let us know so someone else on the reserve list can have a chance instead. Reserve list books will be shipped as a batch, so it'll be a few days after your invoices is paid before the books are shipped out and tracking numbers are emailed.

Edit: Feb 22nd 1600 GMT-0500 The first batch of reserve list books was mailed out Tuesday the 19th. Tracking numbers were not sent out automatically, but US-orders should be getting theirs later today. International orders, I'll have to email out tracking numbers manually, which I'm planning on doing later this weekend.

Other than that, if you have any questions about the project, you should check out the recently updated FAQ, which goes into a bit more detail than this post, or feel free to send us an email at FoEPrintProject@gmail.com.

Hey everyone,
Many thanks to the over 900 people who signed up for the 4th printing of Fallout: Equestria!

Thanks to everyone's incredibly generous support we were able to bring the cost down from our original estimates to only $45.99! Shipping is of course free to the US. And international shipping is calculated based on your country and exact number of books ordered.

What's next?
Invoices have been emailed out to everyone who signed up. From there you can click 'Pay Now' to access the online version. That's where you can double check your address and pay the invoice via credit/debit card.

Invoices are due in about a week. After that we'll compile everything and start the manufacturing process! We'll have a better idea of the timeline after that, but for right now we're estimating around May-ish for production to be fully complete.

If you do not see your invoice, please check your spam folder before emailing us.

Fallout: Equestria - 4th Printing!

Image
full res

Hey everyone,
I hope you all are having a very Merry Christmas. Personally I've been looking forward to this day for a while now. Both to relax with family, and because of what in means to the fandom.

It is my great pleasure to announce the 4th ever printing of Fallout: Equestria! Celebrating the 7th anniversary of the story's completion, this definitive edition of of the book features the entire unabridged story of Littlepip, as she leaves the stable and saves the wasteland.

The book itself is a leather-bound tome, featuring gilded edges, smyth-sewn binding, and all the furnishings of a deluxe book made to stand the test of time.

Inside is the complete Fallout: Equestria story, as canonized by Kkat, printed on a sturdy lightweight paper. Every chapter showcases beautiful artwork by Hobbes-Maxwell. His art has been a cornerstone of our printings; thanks to his classical background his art complements each and every chapter, without overtly spoiling the nuances of what lies ahead.

Every day it seems we hear from fans who either missed the printing two year ago, or who want another copy of the book for family/friends.
This is your chance to be a part of making something great! These printings wouldn't be possible without the support of everyone who signs up and pre-orders the book.

So how does this work?
Put simply, the print project functions like a large group. So everyone signs up first, we figure out the price for all the books we need, then we email out invoices. Once everyone pays we're able to place the order and start printing the books! It's estimated they'll take a few months to finish, but once they're done we'll pack them up and ship them out to everyone.

The final cost will likely change a little bit, depending on how many people actually sign up, but we're estimating:
Each book will be about $49.99 USD, with free shipping to the US.
Shipping to Canada will be about +$15, everywhere else about +$25

So without further ado, the signup form: https://goo.gl/WqLp2P

Signups will be open through January 10th.

If you have any questions about the project, you should check out the FAQ, which goes into a bit more detail than this post. Or feel free to send us an email at FoEPrintProject@gmail.com.

Hey everyone,
A bit early, but I'd like to wish all you you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Fantastic Festivus, et al.!

On to the news!
Murky Number Seven is currently wrapping up the literal printing side of things, and is moving towards binding. We're still waiting to see what our production slot at the bindery is, but it's looking like the books will be on the long side of our original estimates.
In plain English: The Murky Number Seven books will likely be finished in mid/late January.

How does this affect our other plans?
Frankly we might just move forward anyway and do two things at once. We'll see. Either way we have some exciting plans in mind as we move towards 2019.

We appreciate your patience and understanding through this process. We're almost there! Big books just take a while to make.

Wait, I missed signups! Wat do?
We should have some extra books left over at the end of the printing. If you would like an opportunity to purchase one of them, please sign up on the reserve list:

Hey Everyone,
Thank you for your patience. Between wrapping up invoices, working with the manufacture, and being gone at Ciderfest, this update is a little overdue.

On to the good news!
Many thanks to everyone who paid their invoice on time, and to everyone who worked with us if they had extenuating circumstances. We've finalized the details of the book with the manufacture and are moving forward with production. At this point it is a little early for a estimated completion date, but we are shooting to have the books finished by the end of December. Once we have a better date nailed down, we'll post another update. Right now it's just a matter of being patient.

Overall we're on track and things are moving along swimmingly.

At this time, signups for Murky Number Seven have officially closed. Many thanks to the over 800 people who signed up!

Hey Everyone,
How are you doing. Like genuinely, how are you?

I truly hope things are going well for you. Maybe your semester is off to a good start, or you got a raise at your job. Whatever it may be, I hope today has been brighter than the past.

Because shit's about to get depressing!

It is my great pleasure to announce the first ever printing of Fallout Equestria: Murky Number Seven!

One of the 'Big Five' FoE stories MN7 follows the life of young Murky who was born into slavery, raised without knowledge of freedom or the concept of choice. But when the brutality of his newest masters in Fillydelphia becomes all too much and the heroic escape of a certain little mare takes place before his eyes, Murky finally discovers a life worth fighting for. His own.

Broken from the indoctrination, Murky sets out to reclaim the freedom that has been denied to him throughout his entire life. Against abusive slavers, a fatal illness wracking his body and the attentions of ponies that often cannot be trusted, Murky sets out to achieve the impossible: To escape Fillydelphia.

But when your cutie mark is a set of shackles... are you really supposed to be free at all?

This book features the complete, unabridged story, printed as a high quality leather bound tome with lightweight paper, silvered edges, and a silk bookmark. Truly a book to stand the test of time proudly poised on your bookshelf.

The Print Project is supported entirely by Fallout fans (like you!), so the ordering process is a little unique. Put simply, everyone signs up first, we request quotes for all the books needed, and we divide the total across everyone who signed up. Next we'll email out invoices, and after everyone pays we can start printing books. A month or two later when they're all finished, we pack them up and ship them out to everyone!

Each book will be about $69.99 USD, with free shipping to the US.
Shipping to Canada will be +$30 USD, International will be +$35-45 USD.

The final cost will likely change by a few dollars depending on how many people actually sign up. As long as you save up a little more than our estimates, you will be more than fine.

Hey everyone,
Just a small update now that we're into June. Unfortunately some personal things came up for me, so I haven't been on Discord or posted many updates lately.

On to the good news: Duck and Cover has been in production and we are in communication with the manufacture to ensure the earliest possible delivery date. Unless something changes we should be shipping towards the end of June.

Hey everyone,
Just a heads up that at this time all unpaid invoices have been deleted. If you try to access your online invoice and reach a 404 page, that's why.

Moving Forward:
We've submitted the final files with the manufacture and they'll be moving forward with production. It's estimated to take about 5-6 weeks, with the books shipping out to everyone shortly thereafter. So tentatively we're looking at the end of May, into June. Once we have a more accurate timeline we'll post another update.

Hey everyone,
A huge thank you to the over 800 people who signed up for the printing of Duck and Cover!

Thanks to everyone's overwhelming support we were able to meet and exceed our goal, which helped bring down the cost of the books for everyone!

What happens now?
Now that signups have closed we need everyone to pay their invoices so we can pay the printer and begin production. If you can still see your invoice online, please pay it; even if it says 'past due'.

Over the coming days we will email reminders for unpaid invoices. After that we will begin deleting past due invoices.

Hey everyone,
Many thanks to the over 600 people who have signed up so far! We really appreciate your support and hope you are as excited as we are to read Duck and Cover in its physical form.

Just a couple small updates:
Signups are set to close April 15th. So if you haven't signed up already you have about a week to do so. The signup form is here: https://goo.gl/4MbHHV

And we're going to go ahead and start sending out invoices on a rolling basis. That means if you've signed up before now (April 9th, 01:30 GMT-0400) you should have already received an invoice. If not, please double check your spam folder before sending us an email. Invoices are due about a week after being sent.

Thanks to having so many people sign up, we were able to get the cost down a decent bit:
Each book is $25.99 USD, with free shipping to the US.
International shipping was close to what we estimated, but the exact price is calculated based on each country / order.

The rest of the invoices we'll send out as time permits. If you've signed up just now don't be too surprised if it takes a few days for an invoice to be sent.
