I have to ask, why is the price now twice what it was, and shipping when it was free before?

not being able to justify $80 was why i couldn't get one the last two times. ;_;

and this time i had been offline for months for financial reasons and missed the sign up period.

Do you know what people after 15th of April will get there invoices? Because I really wanted to get the book.

After this first batch of invoices is due we'll go through and figure out how many people paid, how many didn't, and how many books that leaves us. Then we'll send another batch of invoices to the next group of people on the reserve list.

So don't worry too much if you didn't receive an invoice with this batch.

The benefit of signing up early and supporting the project during it's development, is the lower cost.

Just randomly checked again and found an invoice!! Already paid for the book with my card the second I saw it!!! Unbelievably excited to have been able to obtain one!!!

Oh I am just so freaking excited I cannot help myself.
This novel is actually quite a positive inspiration for me, and even though i finished reading it only a month ago, I am greedily going to read it again as soon as I receive my copy!!!
PS:
I know it will be many months or even a year, but PLEASE consider a Project Horizons printing. A 5 Volume set would be the second best thing ever after the original.

at $35 i would have. had i know of it's existence. and was why i signed up for the reserves the second i heard about it.

Been checking the site fairly regularly since the original announcement of the first printing. then comp dies and i'm out for months. ;_;

To anyone who is upset at the cost. Please remember how limited these are, and the fact that they DID NOT have to order extra.

Finally while i despise scalping community fan based project items such as this, ive seen this 3rd edition sell for like $500 already.

So $85 aint that bad.

But if you dont want it, i have friends who signed the reserve list after april 15th that would gladly take your spot should you decline

wanting it and affording it are 2 different things. as someone that has been trying to get a copy for 3 years (or however), has multiple versions of the printing pdfs, and did multiple animations that were FOE related, i can assure you that the want is there. also, weren't the "extras" unpaid for orders? IE they would have them anyway and would have gotten the original $35.

I would add that no where was it mentioned that the price would be increased, so people signing up for the reserve list did so with the pricing already listed and in mind.

Actually no. It was clearly stated that the reserve list were for extra copies they ordered in general, i am simply deciding to skip buying that new video game I was wanting for my family in order to buy this

Yes! Got the email with invoice. Granted I wasn't expecting such a big spike (ha) in price, I still plan on getting this. Going to pay for it first thing when I get my paycheck on thursday, and from now on I will be checking here much more often to be sure not to miss any further printing projects and their initial sign up. I'm so excited!
