Ooh, this sort of thing upsets me! They aren't making any money off of this. They volunteered to have these books made for us. Every cent we paid went solely towards the printing of these books, not a dime to these good men (and maybe women) who put a great deal of time and effort to bring fellow fans a physical copy of a story we would NEVER otherwise be able to possess unless we were willing to drop a HECK of a lot more money and maybe not even then! Sue-happy folk like you are the reason why people stand back and watch someone choke to death on a chicken bone rather than attempting to render first aid. You should be ashamed of yourself. Especially with such a weak apology and attempting to justify your rude behavior!Jusey1 wrote:I apologize then. I get extremely defensive about these things... I don't like being lied to, betrayed, etc... (You can even talk to my mother about this... She've gotten plenty of calls from my school back when I was in grades school simply because of me yelling at the lunch people for false advertising and serving the wrong food)...zemming wrote:chill out dude. If the book's actual cover is blank, I will demand a refund or else I will take you guys to court for false selling.
I HATE dust jackets with a passion and I will not tolerate them on these books. I want pure normal hardcover books (and they were originally meant to be as such). That is what I paid for and what I am expecting to get. If I don't get what was originally said, expect to hear more from me... So the book's actual covers better have the "Fallout: Equestria" symbol printed on the front and the number on the side (like promised).
As stated in the FAQ: "The book is being printed as a dark-green cloth bound hardback with a foil stamped title and spine."
All you needed to do was ask for pictures without the jackets: http://imgur.com/a/6mE9P
I, too, prefer the hardcover as you like it but would have been fine without it because what's really important is the story inside- that it is a good quality print and unedited from the original. That's what you wanted too, right? A physical copy of the story you love?
I am not saying that you didn't have the right to be angry if that wasn't the case, or even to request a refund or pursue damages for the cost of the book if a refund was not provided- HOWEVER, threats to do so should only have been warranted after confirmation that changes to the product had indeed been made rather than immediately following your question, putting our KIND and GENEROUS volunteers through unnecessary and undeserved stress!
You ought to keep that in mind the next time you feel like lashing out before you possess all of the facts.
In any case, I for one would like to thank all you volunteers for bringing us a physical form of this much loved tale and say I am delighted to receive the bonus dust jackets!
