TIS A LIE! WE ARE BACK!
NO LONGER RELEVANT, PLEASE DISCUSS HERE - viewtopic.php?t=122
December 16, 2011...Of course I started a little earlier than that, surfing the internet almost taking a week to find this group when it was not even hitting 100 members. We have come a long way from then, what started as nothing more than a novel idea into actual physical evidence. I make myself sound more important than I really was as while I put my time into it, there is not a single thing I could point at and say "I did that." However I was there with my stick poking and pressuring, helping to get the momentum(even if I had to jump in and get dirty myself) to get the work done, This project had its up and downs. Ups being able to have the book finished in my hands. The downs when I murdered the project in the first degree by chasing away the one person that made it possible. I don't think there has been any other time in my life when a consequence had me throwing up in a potty potty on the 45th floor of a high rise.
It was a great ride but this one has reached the end, at least with us being the ones driving it. Momentum has been at a stand still, it has been like this for months starting all the way from the first print. Many of us were so content just to have the project finished that it was hard to get back on the saddle. We pushed on regardless though not wanting to disappoint but sadly it wasn't to be. What would take days would take weeks, what took weeks would take months. Soon there was periods where admins wouldn't talk for months. When members come more active than the people running the show, you know things have gone into the deep end. XD
There is no one to blame. I myself went MIA for almost two months fighting my own demons. Life continues to move on no matter what you wants, sometimes the roadblocks are big enough to drag you with it. You people have been great to talk/work with and I would do it all over again if I had the chance.
For those hoping for the second print, I apologize too you, It was something we all wished but we can't fulfill it. I'm telling you all so you can make attempts to make other plans. I wish you all with the best of luck.

Re: Indefinite Hiatus
Some incredibly sad news for everyone who was hoping to get in on the second printing, but all good things must come to an end, even if that end is abrupt and premature. It's not going to be easy for someone else to pick up the ashes and start the project again but there's no point sitting around and moping about it when all the pieces to the puzzle are still around.
Seeing as you worked so hard to make this happen the first time I've got to ask how much of the process and people involved were documented and what you or any of the other members can provide about the successful printing. If anyone is going to get this started again they're going to need all the resources they can get and preferably as many people with experience that are still willing to help or provide advice as possible.

When one door closes another one opens in the form of this website: http://www.thebookpatch.com/PrintBook.aspx . It is called TheBookPatch.com and you can get your own soft cover, perfect bound, version of Fallout: Equestria for under $80 USD. Im sorry to hear this project stopped since I just joined last week but hey, thats the way life is sometimes. Carry on my wayward sons, there will be peace when ya'll are done, lay your weary head to rest, don't you cry no more.
Re: Indefinite Hiatus
Now, I'd be interested in doing this for a personal copy, but I don't want to do anything without permission. Could we get some ground rules set for anyone who might want to go a route such as that would be interested in doing the same. Kkat does have a copyright on the story, so does that mean we should she ask her for permission personally? Just want to makes sure I'd be doing things right before I try to do anything at all.Henry wrote:When one door closes another one opens in the form of this website: http://www.thebookpatch.com/PrintBook.aspx . Re: Indefinite Hiatus
Okay, these are really bad news, but it happens. So thank you very much for all of your effort and maybe we'll meet on another project!
That looks promising! If it didn't infringe any copyrights or rules, maybe some sort of tutorial like 'How get the FoE books printed' would be awesome!Henry wrote:When one door closes another one opens in the form of this website: http://www.thebookpatch.com/PrintBook.aspx . If you have any question or problem feel free to visit our IRC channel or just send us an e-mail to FOEPrintProject@gmail.com!

If you're interested in printing your own copies, please read the pdf thread which elaborates on the conditions for printing it yourself.
Re: Indefinite Hiatus
It is very sad to see the project end this way... but thank you none the less, this group put in a massive effort to create something brilliant and none should ask more than that.
So thank you and who knows, maybe this is just the beginning of something bigger

Heh... Thank you, guys. Those are very sad news. You did all you could for students who never wanted to have profit from this. It was fun to talk to y'all. I guess I will be trying to find a print shop in Russia to print the book.

...........
*sigh* This is very sad news, but I understand that things like this happen, take care.
Now I would just like to ask a favor, well two really, the first being, if anyone can give me the cover images for the hard cover Fallout: Equestria books, the second, is how if possible I'd be able to print my own hard cover copy, and where I have to go to do it.

Re: Indefinite Hiatus
I've decided that I cannot, in good conscience, allow this to die. Not yet. I'm going to need a lot of help, and I hope some of you guys will step up, since there's no way I can do this alone. If you're located in Indianapolis, let me know and I'll see if I can set up a meet to see how we can get this off the ground.
Will post some of the ideas I have later tonight.
