Fallout: Equestria PDFs
Re: Fallout: Equestria PDFs
Is there anywhere I can find the cover art?
Re: Fallout: Equestria PDFs
Um, the books themselves don't have any cover art, due to the way they are printed.Stormwing wrote:Is there anywhere I can find the cover art?
There's the cover art that's shown on eqd if that's what you mean: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tsjWoNbJTVA/T ... stria2.jpg
(That's all I could find. Arcane probably knows a better version if you really need it.)
There's also this here, which is not used anywhere, but it's beautiful: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=83
Re: Fallout: Equestria PDFs
Have we determined whether this site is okay to use? With the newly announced delay, I don't think I can wait a year to get a print version.ThePuzzldPirate wrote:Hard to say. It says its a print on demand which is what your looking for, as long as the book doesn't end up on a store where you can buy, you should be fine.gildedkitten wrote:All right, since I've pretty much given up hope on being able to get in on one of the print runs, I've got some questions to ask about printing it for myself.
1). Does this site violate the rule about Lulu?
2). If so, what are some printing companies that DON'T violate the rule?
3). What size should I be choosing to get my books printed in the same size as yours? Do I use the standard size of 6"x9" or will I need to order them in a custom size?
Thanks for your help.

I'm going to assume you slipped up there, it most certainly isn't in the public domain as it is under copyright by Kkat, if it was in the public domain everyone could publish it etc. The proper term is that this PDF is under a non-commercial licence and itself + derivatives (such as the printed books) are not allowed to be sold.ThePuzzldPirate wrote:you pretty much have it nailed down, There isn't really any slip to give as the story itself is in the public domain, The reason for this kind of printing is to keep it legal with both Hasbro and Bethesda. The printers are allowed to take payment for the labor but not for the IP hence why we have to avoid distributors which make royalties. It slims down who you can use but there is enough people out there that are only involved with printing.Fedallah wrote:So, I wanna be sure what all I'm allowed to do before proceeding with anything. When you say we're prohibited from using "publishers", basically the point is that we can't use anything that will distribute the book, or put it up for sale, right? So, anything that will give us a single printing, which will be delivered into our hands, and without the printer retaining any rights to anything is okay? I'm looking to get two copies, one for myself and one for a friend, and as I say, I just want to be perfectly clear on what we're allowed to use these for.
Also, is there anything, like a release form or something, which I can show to a printer saying I'm allowed to submit the book to them for printing?

Re: Fallout: Equestria PDFs
When I download the PDF's all I can see is black and white lines and the occasional block of text or a picture. Any advice?
Re: Fallout: Equestria PDFs
I get the same file image as ProfessorPat up above, what is going on? I tried downloading it three times and every time I see a corrupted version of the PDF file. So I am glad to know it is not just me but I am also sad that I can't get the original version. I don't mean to sound like a bad guy but come on! I want FO:E and I want it now
Here is my example of my troubles

Looks like it's an apple problem. Try opening it with another pdf viewer.
ProfessorPat wrote:It's definitely an Apple issue. It loads just fine in Adobe programs (any of them: Acrobat, Reader, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) but refuses to load in Preview, iBooks (after transferring to an iOS device), and any other Apple software.
Just to confirm it, they even load in the Kindle app on my iPhone. So it's not like they only work in Adobe software, they just only don't work in Apple software.

Thank you for that. It works great in Adobe Reader. Now to get it printed!
