They seem to be off all around. I think it needs to be wider and shorter based on the dimensions provided for the books. The front and back are different sizes (the spine is not centered), and at 9.25" tall, neither dimension is at 6.25".

I don't want to ruin them by attempting to stretch parts of the image to meet the dimensions provided, but using what little I do have to go by, it seems like the aspect ratio needs to be altered a bit to get these to work properly.

Has anyone actually printed the jackets and found proper sizes that aren't too tall and where the spine is properly centered? If so, could you post those sizes?

reading through all the comments seems like the problem was that the pds are blown up too big. scalling it down so the height is 9 1/4 inches will fix the problem cant do it just right now but its stupid simple. also the .png MIGHT be the appropriate size also, not dead (yay)

So, I just got back from a FedEx Office to get my dust jackets. However, slight problem. Apparently, due to scaling, In order to get the jackets to fit on the books, I would need to print it on the large poster size paper. Because of this, the jackets end up costing twenty bucks....each. I'm not sure what to do about this, any body got some advice of something, because I really don't want to have to spend $100+tax just for dust jackets.

Kinko's is ridiculously over priced . go to staples, should get the same 5 jackets on gloss stock paper for about 50/60$ total. I know it probabyl isn't the price you are looking for but good printing is kinda expensive. Going with cheaper stock paper will also help you save a bit of money. But cheaper paper doesn't look all that good either.

I found L9OBL's dust jacket templates again and uploaded them to my dropbox. He made those a while ago, but they got lost somewhere in the depths of the mess that is Facebook.
No idea if these are correct or not, but have them anyway: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ace7i0vpnadeg4k/pBqPk4AQnj

Uh, has a version that prints at the correct size available anywhere? I've been trying to keep track but quite frankly I'm lost at this point and I'm not sure what is what anymore. :pipshrug:
I'd have fixed it myself, but I do not have anything that I can use to edit it and the place I'm using to print could not edit the sizes correctly. So, yeah. Any help would be appreciated.... And if the first post links have actually been fixed then I'm going to look very silly right now.

The versions in the Template and Alternate threads are the right size for printing. With the template now there, we may be seeing more in the near future if you want to wait it out a bit.

The ones shown here do not fit exactly, though if you really like them and insist on it anyway, you can see how they look on some of the pictures floating around here. Basically, they're a bit short and the ones in the other threads corrected for that, but they're a different design from the ones shown here.

Thanks, I guess I'll probably just find an alternate design I like, as good as these ones are I need dust covers pretty soon for various reason and thus can't really afford to wait.

I hosted a party for my birthday yesterday, and I got dust jackets as a present!
Best gift ever.
