Official Pink Eyes Ebook & Other Announcements!

Hey Everyone!
I'd like to take time today to announce the official Pink Eyes ebook! This is the complete edited story, as printed. Including the fabulous chapter artwork by Hobbes.

I'd like to extend a very special thank you to djazz for taking the initiative to put this all together. We tested it on a variety of devices, but if something shows up funny on yours feel free to PM djazz so he can look into it.

What's the word on a third printing?
Thank you to everyone who's expressed interest in a third printing of Fallout: Equestria. We are aware there are many people who would still like a physical version of the book. I want to let everyone know that that the team is not dead. There is a lot of work going on in the background to make this next printing something special.
But until all our ducks are in a row, we're going to hold off on announcing anything specific.

• Losslessly optimized the png images in the release. Ebook size went from 9 MB to 5 MB.

• Added cover, copyright and contents page to eReader’s table of contents.
• Fixed wrong font used in half a paragraph in the first chapter.
• Transparent images (the FoE logo and page breaks) now blend in (invert color) when viewed in iBooks' Grey and Night modes. Chapter art is unaffected.
• Fix musical note to be text instead of an image.

• Fixed it so it loads in Google Play Books, had to remove the metadata 'belongs-to-collection' and 'collection-type'

• The EPUB file now validates without warnings and errors when using EpubCheck. Since Sigil now supports EPUB3 better, all metadata is now EPUB3 (and backwards) compatible.
• Tweaked some styling to make it look better when viewed as Kobo EPUB (rename file to *.kepub.epub). Kobo eReaders only.
• Added some margin in the top/bottom of pages so that the text is not flush with the edges, since most eReaders margin setting does only affect left/right margins.
• Minor font size and small margin changes, mainly on the title page. It should now look better on Amazon Kindle devices.
• No indentation on the first paragraph on the title page.
• Known bug: In Kobo EPUB mode, the note pushes the text to the right. Not sure how to fix that yet.

• Release!
• Changed cover image size to contain instead of cover/fill.
• FoE logo and chapter art images now keep aspect ratio when viewed in Calibre's e-book viewer with a small sized window.

This is great! The editing and chapter artwork on this book really was excellent, so I love that people who didn't get the physical book can read this version.

And Half Life 3 Fallout Equestria 3rd printing confirmed? The date of this (pseudo) announcement makes me suspicious, but you weren't messing with us with the Pink Eyes ebook so I guess this is legit. I knew it'd be announced as soon as I paid a print shop a boatload of money to make a personal copy for me. Oh well, can never have too many books, right?

I thankfully managed to get the first print for Pink Eyes myself. While I may get that ebook one at some point, I'm more interested in that special secret printing project is.

I have an idea or 2, but we shall see.

That's a good question. I have the first printing of Pink Eyes, as well.

I got mine by asking Zemming for it after the book arrived. I don't remember if it was through email or on the forums though...

Edit: I asked him for it through email.
