Instructions for getting them printed:
so I have been getting a couple questions on how to go about getting these printed.
It's easy
first thing you do is download the files I provided (after they've finished uploading)
Call up your local kinkos or staples or other preferred print shop and ask them what file type they prefer (most places will probably say .PDF but I have seen some that prefer .PNGs and .JPGs)
put the file on a flash drive and take it down to said print shop.
tell them you'd like them you would like to print out a series of dust jackets for some hard cover books you have. Most places will set you up with the appropriate paper stock but generally you'll want coated or "gloss" paper or a high quality heavyweight inkjet paper if they don't have any coated paper.
I would also ask them to trim the jackets but that's just me.
and then boom you're done.
Most places will have you sign a release waver stating that you have the rights to print and distribute and etc whatever it is you're printing and just to make it clear, Yes you can print them off you guys have full permission to do so.
FOR BEST RESULTS: I suggest you guys take the .PDF and change the colour scheme to CMYK as most print places use CMYK printing. Nothing major if you don't, it's just for best results. I would include a string of CMYK .PDFs but I don't have the desire or time to do so (its currently quarter past five for me at the moment) so you can do so in a full version of photoshop (so NOT photoshop elements) or on one of these free websites I like to use http://www.cmykconverter.com/ and http://www.rgb2cmyk.org/
For those of you who don't have access to print shops or do not like the quality of print shops near you I suggest you try fedex online printing. I really don't know of many online print stores with delivery seeing as I much prefer dealing with people when printing. Murphies law just loves me when I do online print orders XD. If I wasn't leaving for boot camp I'd offer to print them here and mail them off but I am so I can't. either way if you find an online print shop with shipping that you like I suggest you have them printed onto 11" by 17" paper on coated paper stock. you'll probably have to trim them yourself oh and please post links to what ever online print shop you're using (or like to use so everyone else who needs online printing can do so.
I think that's everything, feel free to nitpick the dust jackets and point out flaws and other wise tear them apart. when I awake from my coma in 6ish hours I'll deal with them appropriately and update file as need be.
ummm fuck L9 he sucks ass , should die in a hole and his dust jackets are crap and should be burned while people piss and dance on their funeral fires.
I think that's it, I'm off to bed OH yeah I'm also putting the Dust jackets on my DA account: http://l9obl.deviantart.com/ but that's gonna be later after drop box is done uploading
Whelp good night!

Gah, I hate this to be my first post, but you might have slightly typo'd on Velvet Remedy's blurb.
Where it says:
"She wishes abandon her old life and start anew"

Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
I get a feeling that your dropbox will soon be unavailable if too many people download the covers. Especially with files that big.

Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
OK, this may come off as an incredibly stupid question, but how do we get them in appropriate sizes? Or do we have to cut them ourselves?
Edit: Ehrmahgerd both versions are absolutely amazing! How are you supposed to choose?

Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
I think I found another mistake on Version 1 Volume 2. Sorry!
The quote on the back reads ".... put your faith in what you believe something to be than what something actually is."
Shouldn't that be ".... put your faith in what you believe something to be [rather] than what something actually is." ?

Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
There are still some little things that need fixing, unfortunately. The following reviews are all from the version 2 of the jackets:
Volume 1: The quote on the back of the book; "Have you ever [HEARD] the old saying [...]"
Also: "If there was [A] moral to their story [...]"
Volume 2: Velvel's description: "A voice smooth enough to make the most [RAVAGED/SAVAGE] raider stand astonished[...]"
Also: "She wishes [TO] abandon her old life [...]"
Also: "[...] put your faith in what you believe something to be [RATHER] than what something actually is."
Volume 3: Calamity's quote: "[...] wait 'till you actually see the lightnin'!"[P] <- There's an extra P at the end?
Volume 4: Steel Hooves' description: "[...] of even the most sadistic ponies of [THE] wastes [...] "
Also: [...] lingers over Steelhooves due for no atonement his sins and the secrets lie behind his iron mask" <- There's a problem here, either with missing punctuation or bad sentence structure.
Volume 5: Back quote: "[...] There is a light in [THE] darkness"
Also: "[...] the most aiding of remedies [FROM] local plant life."
And Xenith's description sounds a bit off. Maybe a little more poetic and a little less structured? It's not bad, but it doesn't sound as good as the other 4? Mind you that's just personal preference.
Hope my little review helps!

Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
What do you mean appropriate sizes? They are already at the appropriate size, just take them to your printer. When they are printed they will most likely have a border, just cut them out yourself, or ask your printer to do it for you.GenericUsername wrote:OK, this may come off as an incredibly stupid question, but how do we get them in appropriate sizes? Re: DUST JACKETS 100% DONE
Man, those dust jackets look really great! Though there are couple of things I'd like to change to suite my personal taste (and display).
...Um, so any chance if I could get the .PSDs? I'd so appreciate that a lot since tracking down the original source images used in the book covers is quite time consuming task to do. I would do them for my personal use only and not spread them around against your possible wishes (unless you want me to post them here, ofc I'd be happy to do that).
I can totally understand if you are unwilling to share them. Then I'll just go elsewhere and see what I can do.
On related note, anyone here know where I can find the source images?
