Yeah, the nearly $1000 I was quoted was from somewhere online, I'm sure you can get substantially cheaper. I figure the binding is the expensive part, so $85 for that probably makes ~$100 per book. It's really not bad for the amount of work that goes into a custom binding like that, and I think the ebay prices are around that high for the set, but man is $500 a lot of money for a book.

I guess it's not just any old book though, is it? If there never is a third printing, I probably will eventually get a nice, hardcover, case-bound copy printed regardless of cost. But, I'd hate to spend hundreds on a custom job only to have an "official" printing become available for well under $100.
