Fallout Equestria: The Official Audiobook (Crowdfunding Campaign to hire Professional VA)

So, has this been posted on EQD yet? That'd help drum up more support. Also maybe on the Fallout Equestria site, don't know how you'd do that, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Yes-ish. We will not be charging a single penny for the audiobook after the crowdfunding campaign. However, we do want to reward the people who actually made the audiobook possible, so we'll most likely make the audiobook available only to backers for a limited amount of time. We will also probably only offer the highest quality of audio formats to backers, ie backers will get 320kbps MP3 or lossless formats while the free version will be 128kbps MP3.

Jumping in here just to say that I know some people, like myself, would gladly pay for better quality formats once the audiobook is out, though I do not know how legal that would be. Perhaps the money gained thereby could be given to a charity?

Either way, I'm excited to see what will become of this project!

I have submitted it to EQD, and in fact taken out an ad in the sidebar, but they've not run a story on it. Hopefully they will. I literally got an email back from them while writing this post, they're 'addin' it'!

If you want it, you should try to fund it now if you can. If you're worried that others will miss out on the crowdfunding campaign, then the best thing you can do is make sure that they know about it!

I am trying to get the word out, and I think a post on EQD will help a lot, but the absolute best thing people can do to make the project succeed is to make sure everyone who'd be interested in a Fallout Equestria audiobook is aware of the project. I know there were quite a few people who missed out on the book printings, and I want to avoid that if possible. Yes, once the project is complete we can figure out what to do for people who missed out on the campaign, but ideally the only people who will miss out on the campaign are people who aren't yet Fallout Equestria fans!

Sincerely though, thanks for your interest in the project. I really hope that figuring out what to do for people who couldn't join the crowdfunding campaign is a problem we have to face in the future.

That's good. I really want to see this project succeed, and getting the word out is insanely important to that. On holiday at the moment, but pretty certain I'll be donating when I get home.

I think this is an excellent idea! I was a big fan of the radio drama version released on Youtube, but it was never finished. It was pretty amazing quality too. Here's hoping this one delivers the goods!

Got the same response when I sent this page to them the other day. Giving the volume of stuff they receive everyday, it's very likely that stuff about this project has been drowned out. Hopefully more people will start sending this to them to raise some attention.

I reached out to her on reddit (where I talked with her about the project in the first place) about saying something publicly about the project, but haven't heard back. I don't think she checks her reddit account often and I'll try sending her a message on fimfiction later today.
