Questions Thread.
Re: Questions Thread.
Hi, JetWave
Not all the international books have been sent yet, so it is possible that your books are either on their way or still waiting to be sent. If your books have already been sent, there is unfortunately no way to track them.
If you are not at home to receive the books you should normally get a notice that you can get them from a nearby post office, so you should be alright.
If you want to know if your books have already been shipped/when they have been shipped you'd have to ask Alex(Neztep).

Ok, thanks for the reply! Read on facebook that he just finished internationally or at least was going to start shipping to the USA this weekend. So I guess it's sent. So excited! :3
Re: Questions Thread.
He did finish the international shipments but very recently. There really was no order that I know of that they were sent it so it is very possible that yours are on the way. So no worries~

Re: Questions Thread.
Is there any way I could get the files I found them on a wiki but the the dropbox link gave me a 404. I cant afford the books but i know someone who works at a print shop and they can cut me a deal to print and i can cobble together a book cover but i need the files please. Pardon the poor grammar but I am extremely tired.
Re: Questions Thread.
I'll try to get them onto the site as soon as I can. We were planning on putting them up here.

Marketing and Advertising
I like the idea of low prices. The more people buying the less it costs. So then wouldn't for the second wave it be a good idea to advertise the product? Getting individuals to pitch in and help get others to sign up wouldn't be to hard. Along with just having it advertised by people at no cost in base sites. I found it was sad that I didn't even hear of this until after the first wave. There was no news related to them.

Re: Marketing and Advertising
There were some minor mentions in EQD even before the now famous post about this printing, but in all honesty there wasen't anykind of proof of this being real back then either... except the word of admins.Frequency wrote:I like the idea of low prices. Also there isn't any REAL reason to advertise the second printing except maybe ask for another EQD post with the information to get the few still lost people to join in.

Re: Questions Thread.
There were about three or four really short mentions in the nightly roundups on EQD, like this one. When the first signup closed there were ~400 people, with some joining after that. Before the front page post on EQD about the finished books there were about 500 people, now there are more than 1,500, effectively tripling the amount of people.
If, lets say 1,000 people order a set(there will be very likely fewer people), that would bring the price per book down by ~$1-2 tops from the first printing(assuming the price calculator on the printers website is correct and my numbers weren't completely bogus)
The problem is that with such a large amount of people a project like this quickly becomes infeasible and that there's no real reason to advertise this. It's already on the borderline as it is now.
What kind of "advertisement" are we talking about here? Word of mouth or something else?
Getting another mention on EQD when the second printing starts would be quite useful(I'm quite certain that's already in the plan), but otherwise I don't really think there's a need for much else.

Well any for of advertising that is free. From word of mouth to constant little mentions and reminders and sites.scootayay wrote:What kind of "advertisement" are we talking about here? Word of mouth or something else?

Re: Questions Thread.
actually, the cost of a set based on the extended calculation at 800 copies is all the way down to $50 per set from the $72.08 per set for 376 copies. It doesn't include individual shipping but there were a number of factors that you can't get on the website that scale down quite a bit when you are talking about that many sets.
