Moving Along

Post by zemming » Thu Jun 19, 2014 4:34 am

Hey Everyone!
Just a quick update: there's nothing to update :derpytongue2:

The books are still being printed. Right now we're just taking solace in the lull before things pick up again as we get closer to shipping the books.

Regarding the timeline, nothing new has come up, so we still should be on track for shipping the books out around mid-July.

As for myself, I will be at TrotCon in Columbus Ohio this Thursday through Monday. In all likelihood I'll won't be able to respond to anything until late Monday, but there's not too much going on right now anyway. :pipshrug:

Edit: As of July 3, 2014 1300 GMT-0400 no new address change requests can be made. If you need to, talk to your post office about having your mail forwarded. That's what they're there for.

If you want to get ahold of anyone on the project team, feel free to post any questions here, email us at FOEPrintProject@gmail.com, or chat with us over in the IRC Channel. If needed, I can personally be reached at zemming@zemming.org (but really, most stuff should be sent to the project email, not straight to me).

I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere else, but how long is it estimated to take from the time shipping begins until everyone has their books? Is it a weeks-long affair to get every book shipped or does that happen fairly quickly?

US orders will be shipped via Media Mail and should arrive within 5-8 days of being sent out. Right now I can't give you a more specific timeline, other than we intend for all US orders to be received before August.

I sent an email out the other day regarding my shipping address and I don't know if it was received. I moved recently and need my shipping address for the books to be changed. Could someone email me the details on how I could get this changed so I can receive the books? My email is [redacted]

I kind of forgot to make a post saying that I'm back. But yeah, I'm back!

I've been a bit slow to respond to emails though just with getting myself back up to speed and all, but other than than, it's all good.

In case you're curios, Trotcon was a blast! If you've never been to a pony con, I would highly recommend it :pinkiebounce:
On that note, someone got me thinking I should go to Everfree NorthWest, but the flights are just too expensive. I don't suppose any of you work for an airline and can cut me a deal :raritywink:

I really wished I knew you were in Ohio...

I would've invited you to come over for a milkshake party as we eat muffins and listen to amazing pony rock music by PrinceWhateverer... (I live in Ohio).

Also, I blame the economy for not being able to go to Trotcon.

Okay, so I just found out that I will be moving by the end of this month. Do you think The books will be shiped to my current address before the end of the month, or do you think they should be shipped to my new address. I really dont want to miss out on these books because of an ill-timed move.

Unless something disastrous happens, everyone in the US should get their books before August.
We're still on track to be shipping out books mid-July, and media mail takes about 5-8 days. So you should be fine.
