The covers will be similar to the first printing. They will be green cloth with silver stamping.christ35 wrote:Do we know what the covers for the books are gonna be like? I'd like to see it before I put my money down.
We have redesigned the volume number stamp, since there are multiple volumes per book, and we are working on positioning the spine text so it looks better on the wider spine.
The face stamp (the stylized FO:E logo) will be the exact same.

Re: Signups Are Open!
If I order two sets, how do shipping costs (international) increase?

We hope we can get the shipping cheaper for multiple sets, but right now we don't have estimates worked out for that.Barnahadnagy wrote:If I order two sets, how do shipping costs (international) increase?.
So for now, just plan on it being double.
Thanks,

Well! What a pleasant e-mail to come home to.
I think most of my questions have been answered in this thread, so thanks!
2 volumes or 5, artwork or not, I'm sure it will look amazing in the end.
I really appreciate the revival of the project! Looking forward to printing.

Well, like others, I was kinda of hoping for the 5 volume set over the 2 volume set. But, I think that price drop more than makes up for it anyway. Definitely signing up for a set. I had found this project after signups for the original set 2 had closed, and had been lurking here, but had given up on it ever happening. So glad that this has been revived.
Re: Signups Are Open!
So what kinda thickness can we expect from this monster compared to the 5 volume set? I'm kinda hoping for the "WHAT... IS... THAT!" reaction when its on display or being used.

You tell them..."it's fan fiction," and laugh like a madman at people's flabbergasted reactions.sturds wrote:So what kinda thickness can we expect from this monster compared to the 5 volume set? I'm kinda hoping for the "WHAT... IS... THAT!" reaction when its on display or being used.
I just realized, print versions like this might be a good way to ease some people into the fandom. You could loan it to someone who's a big reader so they could avoid all the pitfalls of trying to navigate the Fimfiction front page with all its porn, and see what some of the best of the work has to offer.
EDIT: Now I just wish I could get a copy of Past Sins and Hard Reset and my life would be complete. Until Night's Favored Child and Sharing the Night were done.
