You'd have to make one. I believe it was just the logo and the little gear icons (both of which can easily be found with a quick search of deviantart) stamped onto the covers. I doubt they were just printed on. Its much more likely that they were embossed or foil stamped.

Yeah I got both images. Apparently they are foil stamped. I'm sure if I provide both images the printers will be able to use them. Also does anyone know the dimensions of the books?

The cover is 9.25" x 6.25". The pages themselves are set in about 1/8".MadMattDog wrote:Also does anyone know the dimensions of the books?
Can you post or PM me the cover art?

Re: WE'RE BACK And life turns around, makes a liar out of me
Hello every Pony,
I would like to get a bunch of people togeather to work on a group print. From what I have read on earlier posts the cover is 6.25" by 9.25" and the pages are set in about 1/8" (Would anyone like to check me on that?) I would be using the PDFs from this site along with the version 2 dust jackets. The only thing we would need is the cover image, we would also have to work on a payment method. I have looked up quotes on Book One Printing, and the more people we get, the cheaper the books will be. Pm me if you are interested, and bring friends. We will probably not be able to get books exactly like the originals but we can get pretty darn close. Especially if we get multiple people working on this.

Re: WE'RE BACK And life turns around, makes a liar out of me
A lot of people want to get together to do a printing, the problem is we're all busy until at least spring. DDBProductions and myself already have discussed a tentative timeline. The more people we can get working on this, the better. Really though, right now everyone is busy with life. I don't know about who was working on the second printing last summer, or if they're still planning on resuming this year. I don't want to step on anyone's toes if they are still alive.
Those dimensions I gave are as accurate as my ruler is, I just measured the books I have. Our best bet for printing is to get the original print quote from the printer. I think I know who printed the first set, but I'm not positive. On my list of things to do, after talking to the mods/admin, is to contact the printer and get another quote based off the original printing requirements. That way, the second printing is identical.
Dusk jackets are not part of the printing because only half the people who order want to pay the extra for the dust jackets. It's not worth the added complication of taking orders with and without the dust jackets, especially since the added cost is not much cheaper that getting it printed yourself (based on what I remember, I may be wrong on that).
The cover images MadMattDog procured are the not quite what we're looking for. They are close, but there were some artistic changes made on the actual print. Getting the right vectors is also on my list of things to do.
Payment: Equestria Publications used WePay for the Past Sins print, another thing on my list of things to do is to text kevinltk and get some input from their team. I have though about using Square, since they have a reasonable price structure, but research needs to be done on payment solutions.
Feel free to PM me or email me at zemming@zemming.org if there's anything I can do to help you. I would be glad if you could work with me though. Right now, I'm just working on ideas, planning, and timelines. Nothing has been put in motion since I, for one, can't commit the time while I'm in school and working.

As Zemming said, I have my own plan. Long story short, I need about six months before I can go full steam ahead. Zemming said he should be able to get going a little faster.

If you guys are planning on doing a carbon copy run of what the 1st print did: ie, same place, same book, similar pricing(as close as you can get to all those), count me in.

For those of you planning your own things, it would be great if you could check out our IRC channel. Maybe iron out some of these details, merge the plans into something workable, and get this off the ground.
This mibbit link will take you directly to our channel if you don't want to read my other post about the channel, but if you do (or simply don't want to use mibbit), I mentioned more details about it here
We've been tossing ideas back and forth, trying to get our own thing going there for a little while now. If you come in and we can talk about all of our plans at once, maybe we'll actually unify it into something we can work with. As it stands, what we've got going gave a couple of nicely priced options provided the interest is there. If you have other plans already, maybe we can help make something even better out of it. Either way, having a centralized place to discuss things in real time should be more productive than forum posts, private messages, or emails are

Thanks, I have been looking for anything unified, and it seems I have found it.
