After putting it off far too long, the forum has now been updated to the latest version. The old forum was actually too old to update easily, and relied on a mod that I only recently found for the newer version.

Please let me know if you find anything not working properly.

Oh, and one more thing, forum registration is open again

Zemming, what version of PDF/x were the original PDFs saved as? I downloaded the "Volume 19.zip" file several weeks ago, before the current corruption of the file. When I use the preflight tool in Adobe Acrobat to verify whether "Volume 1 v16.3.pdf" is compliant with PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3, PDF/X-4, PDF/X-4p, PDF/X-5g, and PDF/X-5pg, it fails all of them.

For the PDF/X-1a (2003) compliance test, I get the following errors:
OutputIntent for PDF/X missing
Document title empty/missing
PDF/X version key (GTS_PDFXVersion) missing
Trapped key not true or false
Compressed object streams used
Page does not have TrimBox or ArtBox
Object uses RGB
Transparency used (soft mask in image)
Font not embedded

To the best of my knowledge they are the same PDFs that were supplied to the printer, which from my experience would indicate they are PDF/x-a1. But I was not involved in the first printing, so that's more conjecture than anything.

I'm glad you are aware of the issue. Any idea when the files will be restored? I read the fanfic and loved it. Too bad I only became a brony this august and missed the printing. I would have loved to buy them, but since there are no more books on sale, I decided to print my own, because I like the fic so much. There's just something about having a real physical copy of a book that you don't get when reading on a digital device. Anyway, thanks for the attention.

It's not really in my hands right now. Once I hear back from Arcane, I'll know more.

I hope you read the agreement before downloading the files, and have enough respect for this project to heed them.

All right, I see that the PDFs have been unattached in-order to fix the glitch
Just my luck too! I just got my internet back and I've been using my school's internet to download 'em only to find that the internet is WAY too slow to download it completely, so that's a real bummer for me. :ajbemused:

Site is not accepting me attaching these files to the first post, so I removed the old one in the meantime, my next post will hopefully contain the files. I forget what they were called though, sorry! :pipshrug:

Nomad, did you want to know what were the previous filenames? The zip file was "Version 19.zip" and the individual PDFs were labelled:
Volume 1 v16.3.pdf
Volume 2 v12.2.pdf
Volume 3 v13.4.pdf
Volume 4 v10.4.pdf
Volume 5 v11.4.pdf

Quick question, Nomad: The files that you are trying to post on the forum, are they the exact same files that were available before the corruption occurred or have you generated new PDFs from the original source material. I ask as I had problems getting the previous ones printed. Would you also happen to know what pdf format the files are in.

Thank you for taking the time to repost the Fallout Equestria pdfs; the story aside, the print version was wonderfully put together. I look forward to finally being able to get a physical version of the book.
P.S. Love your profile pic.
