After putting it off far too long, the forum has now been updated to the latest version. The old forum was actually too old to update easily, and relied on a mod that I only recently found for the newer version.

Please let me know if you find anything not working properly.

Oh, and one more thing, forum registration is open again

Don't worry Pat, I live for rambling~

Now the information you gave me did give me a lot of info on my jackets. I put in all the measurements based off of the standard 300 dpi but I had no idea that I didn't Save it in 300 dpi... My bad. But I did give it 9.5 on purpose since at the time we were still guessing about the sizes of the books because there was no solid measurements (I started these while waiting for the books to show up.)

However! Scaling down is a much better option than scaling up so I'm very happy that I'm able to get away with that ;3 I've still got two more to do but just having the first one gone over is very helpful. I was hoping on getting them printed in order one at a time to adjust if I must. See if i can work out something where if it doesn't print right I can call and ask if I can try again after fixing it up.

Your advice has been very useful pat, I appreciate it. I'll definately be switching back to 300 dpi scaled down (I've also got to get rid of those darn ghost letters too.)

Heh, I wondered if there was a reason you had a broken sentence on there really light and hard to read.

Looks like these dimensions should work really well, so as long as you followed the same spacing on the others leaving that bit of extra for bends and widening the spine accordingly, I don't see there being any issue with them. If anything, they'll be just slightly too long and you'll have the edges of your cover image wrapping into the liners. Better that than what I expect to happen if the currently available ones are used. I'd rather lose the very edge of the covers than have the liners showing up on the cover.

Yep, yep. I agree with you there. I made them just a bit longer for pretty much that exact reason. Now I must struggle with drawing pointy steelhooves... This is going to be fun.

OK guys, an update. I can get the jackets printed here in Sweden for about 150kr(~$23, ~£14, ~17€) per set if we print 10 sets(i.e. fewer sets raise the cost per set) excluding shipping. However I don't think mail within Europe is that expensive. Anyways, if I'm going to do this, I need print ready files already scaled properly, 'cause they charge 250kr(~£24, ~29€) per every started 15 minutes they need to work on them, so having the store scale them will make them more expensive.

Edit: We get them printed on a nice high quality glossy paper.

That is good because I simply don't have any time to get to the printer and ask for details on the printing...
