Fallout: Equestria Book Project

Hey all, first of all, thanks for being patient through are silence and decided to give an update on where we are.

As for the second printing, this is something that is taking a little longer than we hoped to get ready. The problem is the people that made the first print successful isn't able to do it a second time due to life taking importance. This also includes the staff that we have moved around to fill positions. While this print will go smoother from knowing more, it is also going to take longer to accomplish because of having less time to dedicate to the project. We apologize we couldn't meet demand before the holidays but we are hoping we can get started very early(Jan-Feb) next year.

This doesn't mean we are dead however, while the site is an huge improvement over Facebook, we were saddened that we lost a huge amount of activity when we tried to shift over. The more activity this group has, the faster things get done as we build both momentum and motivation. Here is a list of things we are hoping to get started before the end of the year:

FAQ UPDATE: Sorry this is taking so long to do. XD

PRINTING TUTORIAL: A step by step guide for people so they can set up their own prints or print themselves. covering everything down to legality.

PINK EYES PROJECT: Will be making a detailed list of things we need, from pictures, logos, and fonts, contact with the author soon to get started.

Will add an edit if something has slipped my mind.

Finally some good news! Even though I did get the first set, I lost it in a complex matter. Ever since, I have felt a terrible hole in my heart that only a physical copy can fill. Also, I feel like I could help contribute more to the project, but I didn't know how. I don't suppose that you have need for a person to help you with writing the announcements? Just asking, considering I feel like there's always more I can do to help.

Hmm. We should probably start taking preorders for the next set soon. Unfortunately due to space requirements we will have to limit the number of orders to about 300 sets.

Has this been sent to EQD? Might catch some people who have stopped checking this website.

Finally some news! It's been a rather long time.

Would it be possible to order all of them at once, but to have the printer send the books in chunks of 300 sets? That would possibly make the books a lot cheaper.

I don't think that would be a good idea so soon. Not that the same thing like last time happens that there are a ton of new people, but nothing is set up to take orders. This should probably wait until the registration system is finished.

Ouch 300 sets is pretty limiting, how many people are interested atm?

There were ~370 people in the first printing. At that time the Facebook group had a little less that 500 members. Then came the EQD post and around 1000 new people joined. That makes 1500+ people, but those from the first printing already have their books and by far not everyone will order a set, so I guess there will be a demand for 700-800 sets?

Yup that's a lot more than 300 ^^ Depending on interest it might be easier to have one of those 300 sets printed somewhere in Europe, save a large amount of shipping costs for anyone outside the US?
