Gauging interest
Re: Gauging interest
Just a friendly reminder to everyone who would like PH, or another one of the large side stories:
We know there is interest in having those printed, but if we do another printing, we can't print an incomplete book. Given that so many fics are often delayed several times over, I don't think it would be fair to try to start a fic unless it's actually finished.
If anyone would like to PM or email me the authors' estimated completion time (and source!) for PH, MN7, and et cetera, I'd love to have the information. But again, that only means so much.

Project Horizons will be done till the end of 2014 (Somber hopes so)
I haven't read Murky Number 7, so I can't help you.

Re: Gauging interest
Just a little update from me. I think editing and formatting of Pink Eyes is all done now (as best as I can do it without lots more work and some chapter art to use). I've looked over it a bit and didn't see any glaring issues, so it's off to print now. As soon as I get the book and can look through it, I'll release what I've got for those that are interested if all is well. If not... well, then I'll have to get back to work.

Re: Gauging interest
In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't actually read Pink Eyes yet... indeed I'm only seven chapters into Fo:E itself... but another fic printing definitely gets my curiosity and my attention.
Re: Gauging interest
I would most definitely like to have a hard or soft back copy of Pink Eyes. Puppysmiles' story is so innocent and great for the world she lives in. Hope we can make enough of a stink to have a printing!
AJ is best pony!

I'd be up for a hard back copy of Pink Eyes. I loved that story.

I would definitely want to get a Pink Eyes printing.
It should be a more manageable project.

Re: Gauging interest
I got my test printing back and thumbed through it to find a couple of things I didn't fix properly, so I can't say these are worth putting up anywhere yet. Acrobat decided to die on me between then and now though, and I haven't had a chance to try to get it up and running again yet, so corrections and new pdfs have been kinda sitting back, not happening.
Also, my images came out really jagged for 600dpi images. I'm not sure if re-rasterizing the vectors to 1200 or 2400 would help, but 600dpi on an image that takes up such a small portion of the page should be plenty for most things. Because of that, while I didn't have these issues with the internals with my first printer, I cannot recommend either bookprintondemand or thebookpatch now. Neither has left me completely satisfied with any purchase so far.

Re: Gauging interest
I wouldn't mind it though Pink Eyes I was able to read online just fine. (I never bothered reading any Fallout Equestria stuff until I got my book copy of the first Fallout Equestria story, and am now looking into the others).
I actually was able to read Pink Eyes today so... Ye'h. It was nice and wouldn't mind having it as a book but won't be a priority for me.
